Grow Your Food IQ Weekend

Science is everywhere, and the kitchen table is no exception! Join us for Grow Your Food IQ Weekend and discover the connections between food and science, technology, engineering, and math. Meet experts in agriculture, microbiology, nutrition, and seafood. Learn about cheesemaking, how fruits come from flowers, and thermal properties of cookware. Ask a dietitian about food and nutrition and take a selfie with amazing fish from local waters, and much more!

Food: Getting Beyond Taste

Join Dr. Jacqueline Wolf from Foodicine Health, Harvard Medical School, and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for a behind-the-scenes look at food, nutrition, and wellness. In order to make informed choices of what we should and shouldn’t eat, we need to understand how the types of food can affect us. We’ll discuss approaches to personal nutrition and consider medical conditions that require dietary changes. Food can be both healthy and tasty!
